Lava Pixel V2 With 13-Megapixel Camera, Android 5.1 Launched at Rs. 10,750
Lava on Monday launched the Pixel V2, a refreshed variant of the Pixel V1 launched in July this year
under Google's Android One initiative. The new handset, which is not
linked to the initiative, is priced at an MRP of Rs. 10,750, which is
lower than its predecessor (Rs. 11,350) and is already available to buy
offline. The company promised to make the smartphone available to buy
online starting September 15.
Based on specifications, the Lava Pixel V2 is quite an update over the Pixel V1, especially in the camera department. The handset's claim to fame is the 13-megapxiel rear camera with 1.4-micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, 5p Largan Lens and Blue Glass Filter with dual-LED flash. Also, it comes with a wide-angle 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 1.4-micron pixel size, f/2.4 aperture, 4p lens with LED flash. Some of the camera modes included are wide angle selfie, night mode, Pic Focus, Face Beauty, Intelligent Mode and gif maker. Additionally, it can record videos with up to 1080p resolution.
The dual 4G SIM (Micro-SIM) supporting Lava Pixel V2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Star OS 2.0 skin, and sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution IPS display layered by Asahi Dragontail Glass. It comes powered by a 64-bit quad-core Media MTK6735 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores at 1.3GHz), paired with 2GB DDR3 RAM and Mali T720 GPU. As for the storage, the Pixel V2 includes 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB). Besides a set of standard connectivity options, the smartphone also supports Cat. 4 4G LTE connectivity, with support for Indian LTE bands.
The Pixel V2 is backed by a 2500mAh Li-Po battery and weighs 128 grams. While the Pixel V2 is currently available in Icy White and Royal Black colour variants, the company would bring the smartphone in Prism Blue colour variant as well in October this year.

Lava Iris Atom 2 With 4.5-Inch Display Launched at Rs. 4,949
Lava on Tuesday launched a new smartphone under its Iris range of
devices, the Lava Iris Atom 2. The budget smartphone is priced at Rs.
4,949 and is available online and via national retail stores.
The Android 4.4 KitKat-based Lava Iris Atom 2 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854x480 pixels) resolution display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC (unspecified chipset), clubbed with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone features a 5-megapixel rear camera with Largan lens and LED flash, and a VGA (0.3-megapixel) VGA front-facing camera for video chatting purposes. It offers different camera modes including HDR and Panorama.
The Iris Atom 2 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). In the connectivity section, the smartphone offers Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, GPS, and Bluetooth options. The device is backed by a 1750mAh Li-ion battery and would arrive in White and Black colour variants. In addition, the handset features Smart Gesture Control features.

While most of the specifications of the two smartphone are the same, the latter is slightly toned-down with a 4-inch display, 1GHz single-core processor and a lower 1400mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 14 hours 20 minutes of talk time on 2G, 5 hours 41 minutes of talk time on 3G, 300 hours of standby time on 2G, and 170 hours of standby time on 3G. The camera setup, inbuilt storage capacity. and RAM stay the same in both handsets.
Another recent launch at a similar price is the Intex Aqua Sense 5.0 smartphone, priced Rs. 4,690. The Aqua Sense 5.0 features dual-SIM (3G+2G) support and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It bears 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Lava Flair E1 With Android 4.4.2 KitKat Launched at Rs. 2,749
Soon after launching the Iris X1 Atom S, Lava has now introduced its
Flair E1 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 2,749, the smartphone is now
listed on the company site. So far, there is no announcement from Lava about the handset's availability.The Lava Flair E1
is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat
out-of-the-box. It comes with a 3.5-inch (320x480 pixels) HVGA TFT
display. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor
coupled with 256MB of RAM.
It comes with 512MB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also on board.
On the connectivity front, the Lava Flair E1 offers EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. Unfortunately, there is no 3G connectivity support on the smartphone.
The smartphone packs a 1300mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 3 hours of talk time, and up to 150 hours of standby time. It measures 116x62.8x10.7mm and is listed in White-Gold and Black-Gold colour variants.
