HTC One M8
HTC has confirmed that the Android 5.1 Lollipop update will start rolling out to the 2014 flagship, One (M8) in August, complete with Sense 7 UI introduced with the HTC One M9.HTC's UK Twitter handle confirmed the news, saying, "The HTC One M8 will have a Software Update for Android Version 5.1 and Sense 7 in August 2015." The company was replying to a user about the next software/kernel update for the HTC One (M8).
To recall, the HTC One (M8) received its Android 5.0 Lollipop update in January that brought Material Design from Google apart from other features such as the new Android 5.0 Lollipop lock screen; notification tray; enhanced privacy features, and improvements to search function and support for multiple pages in recent apps are also included in the update.
The Android 5.1 update for the HTC One (M8) is likely to bring stability and performance improvements while also adding device protection and HD voice on compatible devices. Google started rolling out Android 5.1 update in March.
As promised by HTC, the latest Sense 7.0 UI will be rolled out to all its 2014 handsets later this year. At the time, the Sense 7.0 is only HTC One M9 - specific for now.
HTC Sense 7.0 UI is said to adapt to user's behaviour and bring new UI features such as 'Morning Bundles' that bring the top news and user's personal agenda of the day when a user's check their phone for the first time in the morning. Another type of bundle is Restaurant Bundle that shows up on lock screen around meal times with suggestions on nearby restaurants. These suggestions are powered by data from Foursquare, Yelp, and other sources popular in different markets.
A smart launcher widget is also included in the new Sense UI. The widget shows apps based on phone's location and usage patterns. Users can have three different profiles - Going Out, Work, and Home, each showing up to eight apps or folders, and the phone will automatically switch profiles based on the location.
The Taiwanese company recently renamed the BlinkFeed app available in Google Play store to Sense Home. The new Sense Home app essentially combines BlinkFeed with the new Sense Home widget and HTC Themes app that debuted with the Sense 7 UI.

HTC announces the M9+, E9+ and Desire 326G in India

HTC m9+
HTC has announced three new smartphones in the Indian market. The first is the very new HTC One M9+ that was revealed very recently. The M9+ is the bigger brother of the M9 and has a larger 5.2-inch Quad HD display, fingerprint sensor on the front, and 20 megapixel rear camera with Duo Camera feature. It also runs on the new 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 processor with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz and has a 2,840mAh battery. Other than that the two phones are similar.
The E9+ will be the cheaper variant of the M9+. It has a larger 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 3GB RAM, 20 megapixel camera on the back but without the Duo Camera, UltraPixel front camera, and BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio. It has 16GB internal storage as opposed to the 32GB on the M9+ and the Xelio X10 processor is clocked at 2.0GHz instead of 2.2GHz. The battery is 2,800mAh. Another difference between the two is that while the M9+ is made entirely out of metal, the E9+ has plastic on the back but a metal frame around the side.

htc_desire_eye.jpg
While last month HTC reportedly started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop OS to HTC One handsets in India, the Taiwanese tech firm is now reportedly rolling out the update to the HTC One (E8), Desire Eye, and Butterfly S.
While the HTC Butterfly S and Desire Eye are said to be receiving the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in Taiwan, the HTC One (E8) is receiving the update in Hong Kong. Users can expect the update to arrive soon in other regions as well.
Notably, the HTC Butterfly S which was launched back in June 2013.
According to tipster LlabTooFer, the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for HTC Butterfly S is sized at 708.86MB with ROM version 5.16.709.3, while the HTC Desire Eye's update is sized at 1008.9MB (ROM 2.19.709.1) and 955.27MB with ROM 2.33.708.3 for One (E8).
The firm has however, not yet confirmed the rollout. LlabTooFer adds that HTC with certain models, will be skipping bundling Sense 7.0 UI (debuted on the HTC One M9) with the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update, and instead roll out the new UI to those phones with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The tipster also noted that out of the above mentioned handsets, the HTC Desire Eye along with the One (M8), One M8s and Butterfly 2 will be receiving the latest Sense 7.0 UI, along with select other smartphones.
HTC last week started issuing a system software update that claims to fix issues with the rear camera of the HTC One M9. As per the report, HTC One M9 seems to be taking better photos in both bright and low-light conditions, both indoors and outdoors, with sharper images, less noise and wash-outs, and more vibrant colours after the update.
