Asus finally has some good news for ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 users, as the company has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the first-generation ZenFone smartphones was delayed last month, with the company citing issues in verification.
It's worth noting that the Android Lollipop update for the Asus ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 smartphones has started rolling out OTA (over-the-air). Consumers can also download the update via the official Asus ZenTalk forum.
The company has listed some changes after the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on Asus ZenFone 4 (A400CG and A400CXG), ZenFone 5 (A500CG and A501CG), and ZenFone 6 (A600CG and A601CG) which include removal of some pre-installed apps such as battery widget, PhotoFrame widget, Movie Studio, Cloud Print, CMClient, and Magic Smoke Wallpapers.
The Android Lollipop update brings new lockscreen with removed standalone wallpaper and weather details (1GB RAM variant only); a change to the quick settings/recent app layouts (1G RAM variant only); revamped Dialler and Contacts; removal of in-call animation and cover; addition of My Ocean wallpaper, Day Scene Live Wallpaper, TripAdvisor, and Asus Auto-start Service Manager app, and auto-start service manager, as well as improved VOIP phone call function and music function.
Until now, the LTE-variant of the ZenFone 5 was the only smartphone that received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
The current rollout contradicts Asus India claims made late last month in a Facebook post where the company revealed 3-4 months delay in Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the ZenFone 5.
