Vivo has announced the V1Max can be expected to go on sale in the first week of September, priced at Rs. 21,980. The smartphone was announced in July alongside the V1, which has been made available since then at Rs. 17,980.
The dual-SIM supporting Vivo V1Max runs on the same Funtouch 2.1 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop like its smaller version, Vivo V1. However, it features a larger 5.5-inch IPS display with same HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
Vivo V1Max features the same 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera as the V1. The cameras are supported by face recognition technology for gender Beautification mode. Also housed is 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). A larger 2720mAh battery backs the device. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and GPS/ A-GPS.
The smartphone is claimed to sport a 6.79mm thin metal-clad body. The dual speaker featuring handset's sound system is powered by Iconic Hi-Fi audio chip. Some of the other features include Smart Wake 2.0 and Smart screenshots for long screen shots, funny screenshots and screen recording.
As for the Vivo V1, the handset features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution display and is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU. The smartphone's front-facing camera houses a wide-angle lens with 6P lenses and an f/2.0 aperture. Different camera modes including Night mode and Panorama is also present. The device however, is backed by a smaller 2300mAh battery. Rest of the specifications of the handset are the same as the Vivo V1Max.

Vivo on Wednesday launched its X5Pro smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 27,980, the smartphone will be hitting the shelves starting August 15 this year. The handset has been available in China since mid-May. Vivo also provided the price of the handset it had launched in India earlier this month, the Vivo V1, pricing it at Rs. 17,980. The company has also launched the Vivo V1 Max, priced at Rs. 21,980, but has yet to detail the specifications.
The highlight of the dual-SIM Vivo X5Pro is it features eye scanner technology that is said to be employed for unlocking the device and can also be used to lock important information stored on the handset. Unfortunately, the model launched in India does not come with the feature. Another highlight of the Vivo X5Pro smartphone is it sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera that can interpolate multiple images to bump up the resolution to 32-megapixels. It is also a slim smartphone, with a thickness of just 6.44mm.
For specifications, the Vivo X5Pro runs Funtouch OS 3.0 UI  based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Vivo's Funtouch UI is the company's take on Android, similar to what Chinese companies Oppo and Xiaomi have done with ColorOS and MIUI respectively. It features a 5.2-inch Amoled full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display that employs 2.5D glass technology and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The Vivo X5Pro smartphone supports both 4G LTE bands (TDD-LTE B40 2300MHz and FDD-LTE B3 1800MHz) in India. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (four ARM Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz + four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.0GHz) coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The smartphone includes 16GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The X5Pro sports both a Nano-SIM and Micro-SIM card slot, both supporting 4G, and users can utilise the second SIM card slot to insert a microSD card. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and LED flash. It is backed by a 2450mAh battery and measures 147.90x73.45x6.44mm. It also comes with a DAC AK4375 chip for hi-fidelity audio.

Chinese handset brand, Vivo on Tuesday introduced its new Vivo V handset series, with the launch of the Vivo V1. The smartphone would hit the shelves later this month, but the company has not provided pricing beyond the entire series, which will be between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000.
The dual-SIM Vivo V1 runs its own Funtouch 2.1 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution display. The handset packs a quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz), along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU.
On the camera front, the Vivo V1 packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front 5-megapixel camera, the same camera setup seen in its flagship smartphone the Vivo X5 Max. The smartphone's front-facing camera houses a wide-angle lens with 6P lenses and an f/2.0 aperture. Different camera modes including Night mode and Panorama is also present. The 16GB inbuilt storage on the V1 is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Vivo has also included a bigger 2300mAh battery in the metal-clad V1 that is significantly bumped up from the 2000mAh one on the flagship X5Max. The V1 also feature a Stamina mode that extends the life of the handset.
Connectivity options on the Vivo V1 include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and GPS/ A-GPS. The handset will be available in Silver and Gold colour variants. Vivo also announced the V1 Max is set for a launch in India, but did not provide availability details, specifications, or pricing.

Vivo starts teasing the X5 Pro with 2.5D glass screen

Vivo has started teasing its next smartphone, the X5 Pro. At the same time, a leaked image came out supposedly depicting this device.
In its teaser shot, Vivo is showing us the X5 Pro's rounded corners, along with 2.5D glass on top of the screen. This means the glass is rounded at the edges, as is pretty obvious from the picture.
