Oppo Mirror 5 With Android 5.1, IR Port Launched at Rs. 15,990

Oppo Mirror 5
Oppo has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the Mirror 5 in India. Priced at Rs. 15,990, the smartphone will be available across India starting this week.
The Oppo Mirror 5 smartphone, like the Mirror 5s, features a diamond-inspired multi-faceted rear panel surface, which is a highlight of the handset. It's worth noting that the Mirror 5 supports 4G in other markets, but the company has not detailed whether the handset supports India-specific 4G LTE bands. However, considering it's powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset, Band 40 support is likely, as seen in other smartphones sporting the same chipset.
The dual-SIM based Oppo Mirror 5 supports one Micro-SIM card and the other Nano-SIM. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Color OS 2.1. The handset is the global version of Oppo Mirror 5s, which was launched last month, as it features exactly the same set of specifications apart from the display resolution.
The Mirror 5 features a 5-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD TFT display instead of HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution in Mirror 5s. The company notes that the smartphone supports gloved and wet touch input.
It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor that's coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. The Oppo Mirror 5 comes with 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture plus LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It features scene detection, Panaroma, geo-tagging, double exposure, smile shot, and HDR options.
Connectivity options on the Oppo Mirror 5 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, IR port, and FM radio. It is backed by a 2420mAh non-removable battery and will be available in White and Blue colours. It features ambient light sensor, g-sensor, and magnetometer. The smartphone measures 143.4x71.2x7.65mm and weighs 160 grams.
The Oppo Mirror 5 comes preloaded with Smart Remote Control app that the company claims is compatible with common household appliances.
Commenting on the launch, Tom Lu, CEO, Oppo Mobile India said, "Our newest offering Mirror 5 is perfect interpretation of our design philosophy which is wisdom and innovation, shining above the ordinary. Oppo Mirror 5 is not simply a device built with appearance and performance in mind, its goal is to bring a spark of creativity to life. Be it an amateur or a pro photographer, the Mirror 5 is perfect for fabulous selfies as well as scenic landscapes. With creative photography as well as a host of smart functions, Mirror 5 is a strong contender, which could be the best choice within the price range."

While we already know that the handset will come with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 5MP selfie snapper, and Android 5.1 Lollipop, the latest leak reveals that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 MSM8916 SoC with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, and sport a 5 inch display with 1280×720 pixels resolution.
Other specs of the Mirror 5s - which measures 143.4 x 71.2 x 7.6mm - include 8MP rear camera, dual-SIM support, and a 2,420mAh battery. It is said to be unveiled sometime in the second week of July.

Upcoming 'bezelless' Oppo R7 smiles in new images, video

The Nubia Z9 that ZTE will unveil on May 6 won't be the only upcoming smartphone from China to boast a 'bezelless' display. The oft-leaked Oppo R7 will have this same feature, practically coming with no side bezels on its screen.
The R7 has been shown in live images before, but now new ones have been leaked. And just like past occurrences, that lack of bezels really draws one's attention.

The pictures sadly don't come with specs attached, but in the past it has been said that the R7 should sport a MediaTek MT6795 SoC with octa-core CPU, as well as a 20.7 MP rear camera. 4G LTE support is to be in as well.Upcoming 'bezelless' Oppo R7 smiles in new images, video
To create the 'bezelless' effect, Oppo is using some patented tech it developed last year. The Oppo R7 might be a very slim handset, following in the footsteps of the R5, which for a while was the world's thinnest smartphone.
Then again, the name R7 hasn't been confirmed in any way, so this 'bezelless' handset might end up being sold under a completely different moniker. At the rate we're currently seeing leaks about it, though, it could get official pretty soon.

OnePlus 2 and Cheaper Version Said to Launch in Second Half of 2015

OnePlus 2
While we have been hearing rumours for the next OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2 since past few months alongside its cheaper version, a report now confirms the existence of both the handsets along with their approximate launch time-frame
A Bloomberg video report following the publications visit to the firm's headquarters tips the two smartphones and their launch time-frame.OnePlus, in line with an earlier companystatement in September last year, will be launching its OnePlus 2 smartphone in Q3 of this year as per the report. Its cheaper version, which the company co-founder Carl Pei mentioned in January will cater "to a different type of audience. Perhaps for those who appreciate design over specs," will arrive towards the end of this year. The report also claims that OnePlus aims to sell between 3 and 5 million smartphones in 2015, and 10 million in 2016.It adds that as per Canalys, company's biggest market for now is Europe and North America (52 percent) followed by East Asia (39 percent) and India (7 percent). Also, India is the Chinese smartphone maker's "next big focus."Other recent reports indicate the OnePlus 2 smartphone will sport a metal frame, which is likely to replace the polycarbonate build of the '2014 flagship killer' One smartphone. A Business Insider reportclaims that due to use of a metal frame, the pricing of the OnePlus 2 will be higher than that of the One which was launched in April last year at a starting price of $299 (unlocked and without contract) for the 16GB model. The sources however mentioned that the firm's plans are yet to be finalised.Pei last month revealed that his company is gearing up to enter a new product category this month. He added that the new product is neither a smartwatch nor a tablet leaving everyone to guess the next OnePlusproduct - though Pei may have been talking about the 'GameChanger' DR-1 Drone the company unveiled as a April Fools' Day prank.
